The goal of myofascial release is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that it and other structures can move more freely.
Problems related to tight fascia and muscles clear up with regular releasing. This results in decreased muscle and joint pain, increased circulation and improved mobility, balance and gait. In short, myofascial release through the use of a foam roller and other small equipment helps to free tension, strengthen the body, reduce the risk of injury and assist in feeling better.
