Myofascial release is for everyone
Whether you sit a lot at work or practice sports, tension builds up in the muscles and connective tissue encasing the muscles and the entire body (known as fascia). This causes the body to feel tight, sore and tired, often leading to weakness and injury. Workshops, small groups and private sessions are customised and adapted to suit individual needs.
Foam rolling and trigger point release, also known as myofascial release, is the application of pressure to eliminate scar-tissue and soft-tissue adhesion by freeing up your fascia and releasing trigger points (knots) in muscles. The goal of myofascial release is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that it and other structures can move more freely.
Problems related to tight fascia and muscles clear up with regular releasing. This results in decreased muscle and joint pain, increased circulation and improved mobility, balance and gait. In short, myofascial release through the use of a foam roller and other small equipment helps to free tension, strengthen the body, reduce the risk of injury and assist in feeling better.

With the use of gentle, sustained pressure, a myofascial release massage (or self-massage with the assist of small equipment) can help eliminate pain and restore motion in soft tissue by focusing on the tough membranes that wrap, connect, and support your muscles. These tough membranes are also known as myofascial tissue, the connective tissue that encapsulates everything within the entire body.
